4 February- 2012 Program Information
Discovery Phase (Age 5-9): Coaching and creating a learning environment. Natural development through playing Football. Emphasis on fun. Duration of training session is 1hr. (6pm-7pm)
Skill Acquisition Phase (Age 9-13): Focus on Functional Game skills-1v1, striking the ball, running with the ball, First Touch. Duration of training session is 1hr 15 mins. (6pm-7.15pm)
Game Training Phase (Age 13-16): Learning how to play the 1-4-3-3, developing tactical awareness, insight and decision making through a game related approach to training. Duration of training session is 1hr 30 mins. (6pm-7.30pm)
There will be NO training sessions on public holidays or during school holidays.
Training will be modified during hot weather or rain and will not be cancelled unless there is lightning.

The PFA are looking for any interested players outside of the PFA who would like to tour.
They are offering ALL players in SA a once in a lifetime opportunity to play in a prestigious Asian tournament.
Age groups sought after are u12’s, u14’s and 16, 17 and 18 year olds.

15 Oct 09 - PFAA to Take part in Intercontinental Cup in Malaysia
The PFA has been invited to play in the Intercontinental Cup in Malaysia during December this year.
Zoran is looking for players from SA who are interested in touring.
There will be competitions for u12’s, u14’s and 16, 17 and 18 year olds.

10 Oct 09 - Saturday Morning 5-a-side Sessions
During Saturday mornings from 9-10.30am from October 10 to December 12, EVERY Saturday morning session at the PFA will be a 5-a-side indoor and outdoor tournament.
The games will be great fun for all of the players involved and the PFA encourage you to form a team of your own.
Any registered PFA player plays for free whilst non registered players will need to pay a one of fee of $20.00 to cover insurance costs.
So simply get 4 friends together and register a team!

April School Holiday Tour to Melbourne - 14-17 April
3 Squads will travel to Melbourne in the first week of the April School Holidays
As well as playing against the Melbourne Squads, the boys will take part in a coaching clinic run by Lee Waddington, a UK coach and scout.
The U16's, and a combined U14/15's squad will attend on 14th/15th April
The U12's squad will attend on 16th/17th April.

Hayden Doyle who has come through the PFAA system makes his second appearance in a row for Perth Glory this weekend.
This is Haydens first year at Perth after playing in Greece and at Stoke City's Academy in the UK.

EFI provided me with the opportunity to train and play soccer nearly everyday. I was training up to 4 -5 training sessions and a game on the weekend. The specialized training introduced at EFI enhanced my skills and prepared me for the professional approach to training that occurs in the UK. Training with Preston Lions would never have been enough to make me a professional football player. Michael Kathopoulis’ approach to training was a lot different to what I had seen in the past and is the main reason that I have become the player I am today. He keeps in contact with me and provides me with advice whenever I need it. I would recommend EFI to any players that have ambitions to play soccer professionally or you have ambitions to play overseas. I could not advocate EFI enough and thank Michael for all his assistance to date.
